Actually open your pay slip ktk

Do you receive your pay slip via email every fortnight but haven't opened it because the password protection is your MOE number and you don't know it/don't know where to find it?

Payslip

  • Outlines essential information regarding pay including deductions(pūtea taken out prior to being banked), allowances(additional pūtea received).

Examples of deductions:

Kiwi Saver, PPTA/NZEI, Student Loan

Examples of allowances:

MITA(Māori Immersion Teaching Allowance), Management Units

Tracking your pay via your payslip ensures you are receiving all appropriate allowances at the correct rates according to your tenure(length of service) e.g. MITA

  2. Read through your pay slip and check deductions and allowances
  3. Ensure your pūtea aligns with entitlements (check your EA!)
  4. Save a pay slip to your 'Maroke Stuff' folder along with your EA and JD
