Now we can turn our attention to Tikanga Whakarite/ Organisational tips and tricks to hopefully help ease workloads especially for Pouako/Kaiako who are just starting out.

This next series of posts focuses on Pānui  to illustrate some tips and tricks that can be transportable across other marau.

Tip #1 Setting up/Organisation/Rotation schedule

So how do you manage 3-5 rōpū pānui, all at different pānui levels simultaneously?

A basic organisational plan will definitely set the wheels in motion towards gaining confidence in the smooth running of one kaupapa ako.

Again this isn't intended to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes we haven't been given the waka let alone it's wheels!

Also the premise is you have already assessed and grouped your tamariki and are now looking to organise a rotational system/programme that enables you to work closely with 1-2 rōpū daily, thereby monitoring multiple rōpū over the course of a week.

The key here is to spend a week throughly teaching the set up. Like many things in life, taking time to carefully lay the foundation equals efficiency, effectiveness and long term autonomy/independence for tamariki which in turn equals less ānini māhunga for you and more time to Kimi Hā😜

We've attached a free digital download that breaks the process down and provides a step by step guide.
